The death toll from Haiti's earthquake could be between 45000 and 50000, with a further 3 million people injured or homeless, Haitian Red Cross said.
Also, the UN announced that 38 of its staffers, including 19 peacekeepers, were killed and 188 others are still missing.
Meanwhile, the US and the IMF said that they will each provide $100 million to help in relief efforts in Haiti. In addition, the US began sending 3500 troops to assist in earthquake rescue and recovery efforts.
