The military leader of Taliban Pakistan movement was killed in a US missile drone attack on the northwestern part of the country three weeks ago, Aljazeera reporter quoted Pakistani official sources as saying.
The airstrike had killed 10 gunmen in the tribal area of Waziristan, according to Pakistani officials.
A spokesman from Taliban Pakistan movement said, however, that Mahsud had left the training camp before it was targeted.
